Festival Padang Ulanan mengawali rangkaian pergelaran tari kolosal Gandrung Sewu 2024 di kawasan wisata Pantai Marina Boom, Kabupaten Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur, Kamis.

 

Festival seni yang dibawakan oleh seniman-seniman pelajar SD, SMP, dan SMA tersebut, menyuguhkan atraksi tari Banyuwangi dan menampilkan beragam kesenian khas Bumi Blambangan, di tepi pantai yang juga menjadi tempat pertunjukan Gandrung Sewu.

 

"Festival ini sebagai pembuka rangkaian tari kolosal Gandrung Sewu. Ini adalah panggung bagi anak-anak Banyuwangi yang punya passion di bidang seni tari dan sekaligus menjadi ajang mengenalkan kekayaan seni tari daerah," kata Pelaksana Tugas Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Banyuwangi Taufik Rohman dalam keterangannya yang diterima di Banyuwangi, Jatim, Kamis.

 

Sejumlah tari dibawakan apik oleh para pelajar dan diawali tari Gandrung Gurit Mangir, lalu Tari Cunduk Menur, Sorote Lintang, Jakripah, dan juga kesenian Jaranan Buto. Penampilan mereka diakhiri dengan flashmop serta pertunjukan Paju Gandrung.

 

Penampilan tersebut mampu membuat pengunjung terhibur dan terkesima, dan ada yang ikut menari bersama para penari di atas pentas.

 

"Ini sangat menghibur, bagaimana banyak seni yang bisa kami lihat, sungguh saya menikmati pertunjukannya," kata salah seorang wisatawan asal Polandia, Piotrek.

 

Menuju Gandrung Sewu yang akan digelar akhir pekan, tepatnya pada, Sabtu (26/10/2024) di Pantai Marina Boom, sedangkan pada Jumat (25/10/2024) akan digelar Meras Gandrung dan Wayang Gagrak.

 

Tahun ini, Gandrung Sewu yang dibawakan lebih dari seribu penari gandrung mengangkat tema besar “Payung Agung” sebagai representasi keberagaman etnis yang ada di Banyuwangi, mulai suku Osing Jawa, Madura, Mandar, dan Bali, yang memberikan warna pada kehidupan seni dan budaya di daerah.
